Closure of first phase

Dear friends,

With the generous support from you, we are happy to inform that COVID-19 Appel Project – Stage 01 has been successfully completed.
We were able to raise AUD19,684 and supplied CPAP machines, Patient Monitors, NRB Masks and Viral filer to six (06) hospitals.
This project will not be a reality without your generous contributions and without the support of Perth Sri-Lankan community organisations.
We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Sri-Lanka with the intention commencing the stage-02, if needed.
Tax refundable receipts have been issued all donors who have provided an email address. If you still have not got it, please let us know.

As COVID ravages in all corners of Sri Lanka, thousands of fellow Sri Lankans are battling for their lives and the health sector is being pushed to its limits like never before.

As a collective of Sri Lankan organisations in Western Australia, we have raised $19,684 to assist life saving efforts in Sri Lanka and ease suffering.

The funds collected were utilised to provide urgently needed medical equipment such as pulse oximeters, multi-para monitors, CPAP machines, ECG monitors, BIPAP machines, non-rebreather masks and piped medical oxygen to a number of hospitals across Sri Lanka. These items have been identified and recommended by the Sri Lankan Medical Association of Western Australia (SLMAWA) as vital aid equipment.
